North Carolina fair housing

The North Carolina State Fair Housing Act (NC General Statutes, Chapter 41A) mirrors the federal protections above. The North Carolina Human Relations Commission enforces the state law and reviews complaints from anywhere in North Carolina.

Working with Real Estate Agents

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission (NCREC) requires licensed agents to explain the working relationship options available to consumers at first substantial contact. The official disclosure is the Working with Real Estate Agents Disclosure. Read it here: ncrec.gov/Brochures/WorkingWithRealEstateAgents.pdf.

We will provide and walk through this disclosure with you before discussing confidential information about your situation, finances, or motivation. Until then, anything you share may not be confidential under NC agency law.
